We believe working with DIY bands I part of our common future. Recording gear has become extremely accessible and relatively cheap and more bands are trying it out for themselves.

Bands who are doing it DIY often come across three barriers:

1.      Where to record the drums? They don’t have enough microphones, or a suitable location to do it.

2.      The house is too noisy, the computer whirs, You can hear people walking around upstairs and the neighbours dog Barking in the background. You also don’t have enough microphones and equipment.

 

3.      Frustration when it comes to mixing their recordings to a releasable standard.

 

We are happy to work hand in hand with DIY bands to overcome these barriers. You can:

1.      Record your drums at The Rock Factory, Track the rest of the instruments in the comfort of your own home, over and over until they are a standard you are happy with without worrying about the clock ticking and money going out the door.

 

2.      Dry Hire The Rock Factory and all our equipment to record your own band to record yourselves in a suitable location with the right gear for $25 an hour.
